An electric bike is a two-wheeled vehicle that, in addition to regular cycling, provides additional electrical support while pedaling. The motor and battery ensure that this support is generated and transferred. This makes cycling on an electric bike not only faster, but also a lot more comfortable. You will not have to put in as much effort as cycling on a regular bike.
Among electric bikes you will find a new and very popular variant, which will be the speed pedelec. This is a fast electric bike with a much higher speed reach compared to a regular e-bike. A speed pedelec supports up to 45 km/h instead of the 25 km/h of a regular e-bike.
All kind of terms are used to describe our most leased bike type. Everyone uses the terms electric bike and e-bike interchangeably, which may cause some confusion. There are also different spellings: ebike, e bike and e-bike. E-bikes is simply a synonym for electric bikes. Of course, the term e-bike has a more modern look and feel and sounds more fun . But do not worry about these different names: everyone understands what you are saying when you talk about an e-bike or electric bike.
