To support you throughout the journey, we have developed a digital platform that you can use for free. Here you can manage all processes and let all parties (the company you work for, all employees and the bicycle store) come together to arrange everything. The administration is also a breeze: you can arrange most things with one push of a button. Of course we are always there for you if you have any questions about the platform, so that you can enter the leaseplan without any worries.

You can register your business via our website in just five minutes. Once we receive your registration, we will run a credit check. We'll get back to you with the response within two business days. After approval you will receive the terms and conditions, which can be signed digitally. Then you get access to our online platform, activate your account and automatically receive the Lease a Bike order code to choose your bike at the local bike store.

The lease runs for 36 months.

After 36 months, you’ll get the option to take over the leased bike from us for about 15% of the purchase price.

After reporting the theft you go to your Lease a Bike store to fill out a theft form together. This is a digital form that the bike store can find in the platform. The bike store will then request a new bike for you. And in the meantime, you will receive a comparable rental bike - as quickly as possible - for a maximum of seven days. Your contract continues. In case of theft there is no excess, except for a racing or mountain bike. For these bikes, the excess in the event of theft is 10% of the new value.

Do you have a Speed-Pedelec leased bicycle? Then it is necessary to indicate on the report that it is a Speed-Pedelec vehicle. It is mandatory to include the license plate number.

If you notice that you have damage to your bicycle, make an appointment with your Lease a Bike store as soon as possible to fill in a damage form together. This is a digital form that the bike store can find in the platform. After approval, the bike store will repair the damage on the spot. If that doesn’t work, you will be given a comparable replacement bike for a maximum of seven days. Your contract continues as usual. An excess of €25 applies to any damage, except for racing and mountain bikes. For these bikes, the excess is € 50 per claim.

If you have been involved in an accident and there is a third party involved, you can call in the personal injury assistance of DAS. They can hold the insurer of the party that caused the accident liable on your behalf and claim the material and immaterial damage.

Good to know, they work on a no cure no pay basis. This means that they collect the costs from the insurer of the person who caused the damage. You therefore run no financial risk.

Using the frame number of your bike, the bike store employee can directly deduct the cost of maintenance from your annual budget.

When your bike needs servicing, you can contact a Lease a Bike bike store. By phone or email you can schedule an appointment at your convenience. There are also a number of bicycle stores that offer the possibility to schedule a service online.

Important: Please indicate clearly that it is a lease bike via Lease a Bike and have the contract ID and frame number of your bike ready.

Service, including roadside assistance, is included in the fixed lease price. If your bike is repaired on the spot by ANWB roadside assistance and you have paid for this, you can use this form to claim the costs incurred from us, provided your budget is sufficient.
